Fall Family Bucket List

Standard

I woke up this morning because I was too cold. Yep, too cold. In August.  In South Carolina. That’s got to be a first.

It hasn’t warmed up much today–overcast, light rain, windy. Feels just like fall. Which got me dreaming of scarves and piles of leaves and apple cider….So much so that I decided to go ahead and write up a Fall Family Bucket List.

I’d been meaning to do this sort of thing for some time.  I tried a Christmas advent calendar last year, and it was a huge hit with the kiddo.  I had planned to do birthday and seasonal calendars as well, but didn’t quite get around to it for D’s birthday in March or for summer.   But after jotting down some ideas and getting input from the rest of the family, now I’m all set to go for fall. Here’s the plan for September through Novemeber!! (in no particular order)

  • go to a football game
  • drink apple cider
  • make a campfire
  • go camping
  • carve a pumpkin
  • decorate the house for fall
  • pumpkin pie
  • apple pie
  • pecan pie
  • jump in a pile of leaves
  • sweet potato casserole
  • visit the mountains
  • new fall candles
  • go to a fall festival
  • tamales
  • cozy movie night–Wizard of Oz and Oz
  • new warm clothes–socks, scarves, gloves, hats…
  • go on a hayride
  • corn maze
  • fall crafts
  • plant bulbs
  • play yard games
  • take the puppies on a hike
  • make dog biscuits
  • make a scarecrow

yay! I’m so excited.  I’ll post pics when I get the whole thing set up 🙂

So, What’s on your fall bucket list???
